Agile was never meant to be a collection of frameworks, roles, or rules. It was designed to help people collaborate effectively, make better decisions, and deliver value under uncertainty.
Over time, many organisations have lost sight of these fundamentals. Agile practices are followed, but outcomes stagnate. Frameworks are applied, but learning slows down. What remains is often cargo-cult agility. Patterns, tools, or even ChatGPT-generated guidance are followed mechanically, without understanding the underlying intent.
In this workshop, Alistair Cockburn, co-author of the Agile Manifesto and creator of the Heart of Agile, returns Agile to its essential principles and explores how AI changes collaboration, decision-making, and agile ways of working.
